Project Week!

Project week is the one week IB where a group of 17 year old students with a $1000 budget going anywhere they like- with no teacher supervision. Project week is a chance to be independent and be able to plan their own trip without the help of parents or teachers. Most groups decided to teach English  in Bang Kok or Vietnam, but my group decided to do it in Mongolia.

The route to Mongolia was hard, with limited budget we had to fly to Beijing and then take a 30 hour train ride into Ulaan Bator. The people we met were so amazing helpful and so was the culture. I honestly thought that it would be a rural village with a cow and a sheep, but it was a real developing city. The social workers that we taught English to would brought us out after class to see Mongolia, and experience the history and religions. It was one of the best experiences I've had and I'm so glad that we chose to go to such a strange place to see something new.
